Dr. Gibraun Brijmohan

Dr. Gibraun Brijmohan originally from the Caribbean underwent his formative schooling and eventually read for his Medical degree at the University of Guyana-> School Of Medicine. (University of West Indies).

Following his medical training, he gained valuable experience whilst working in various medical and surgical specialties across a few Caribbean countries, namely in Georgetown, Guyana and Castries, St Lucia.

He then migrated to the UK where he continued to work and study and finally made the decision after the birth of his first child to move to Australia.

On his arrival he worked extensively in the hospital setting and spent almost 8 years working across various medical specialties whilst completing his physician training requirements.

Gibraun then made a decision in an effort to establish some work - life balance to enter into General Practice. He has remained rooted to same since 2010.

In 2012, he and his family went back to the Oxford Deanery in the UK where he worked for 2 years whilst engaging in extensive skills training in the fields of Diabetes and Respiratory Medicine.

Since his return in 2014, he worked at the Colonel Light Medical Centre prior to joining the Russell Clinic as a partner in 2017.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice and family medicine, including paediatrics, chronic disease management, iron infusions, removal of skin lesions and general dermatology among the rest of diverse presentations.

Unfortunately, he still supports the West Indies Cricket Team and hopes that one day they will reascend to the glory days again. His 2 boys, live in the real world and support Australia unequivocally.

Dr. Brijmohan works Monday - Friday and is happy to take on new patients.
