ADHD Diagnostic Appointments Now Available
We’re pleased to share that Dr María Tihui Cervantes is now offering ADHD diagnostic appointments at our practice!
Dr Cervantes is one of the first 100 GPs in South Australia authorised to diagnose, prescribe and manage ADHD in primary care. This is a meaningful step towards improving access, continuity of care, and timely support for patients and families navigating ADHD.
What to Expect:
Initial ADHD Assessment (60 minutes)
Fee: $502.65 (Medicare rebate applies, leaving an approximate $300 out-of-pocket cost).Review Appointments (30 minutes)
Billed at standard consultation rates.
For many patients, this provides a more accessible and affordable option compared to a psychiatrist assessment, while still receiving comprehensive and ongoing care within general practice.

New General Practitioner
We’re delighted to announce that another female GP will be joining the Russell Clinic team in the new year!
Dr María Tihui Cervantes will be available for appointments starting in January.

MyMedicare
As part of an ongoing commitment to strengthening Medicare for all Australians, the Australian Government has introduced MyMedicare, a voluntary patient registration model that aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams. Seeing your GP regularly and formalising the relationship you have with your GP and practice through MyMedicare can lead to better health outcomes.
